Pier 15 New York, New York
The planning concept for Pier 15 embodies a multi-use facility for New York’s excursion boat service and enhanced facilities for the South Street Seaport Museum. The new pier uniquely reconnects the adjacent urban fabric to the river’s edge and waterfront panorama.
A two-story lobby provides a grand entrance to the 18,000-square-foot upper-level facility as well as the lower level of the South Street Seaport Museum area. An enclosed, weather-protected environment with restrooms, seating areas, and other amenities accommodates easy and efficient access to the excursion boats. The Interpretation Hall has 7,000 square feet of exhibits and waiting areas with food, beverage, and souvenir concessions.
